Lez Warner is a world class musician whose diverse drumming talents
are always in demand. Lez cut his teeth in the London punk scene
before establishing himself as a seasoned go-to session drummer,
recording for the likes of Sham 69, Johnny Thunders, The
Waterboys, Julian Lennon, Randy California (the band Spirit) and
Peter Green (of Fleetwood Mac).
His extensive touring experience
paid off when he was chosen over 150 other drummers to join The
Cult, for what would be described as their "Golden Age". Following
the epic "LOVE" tour, fans were thrilled to hear more of Lez on future
Cult albums, including the smash hit records "Electric" and "The
Manor Sessions".
His powerful rock-steady style can be heard on
the massive hits "Wildflower" and "Love Removal Machine." Over the
years, Lez Warner's impressive resume continues to expand into
further musical genres and roles.
He formed the London rock band
"Hellfire Club" with Paul Raven of Killing Joke, joined and recorded
with the traditional Irish band "The McCabes" in New York and even
played as a guest with "Spinal Tap" at the Beacon Theater.
The list of iconic musicians he has worked with also continues to
grow, including Ronnie Montrose, Sin City Allstars, The Batusi
(featuring Sylvain Sylvain of the New York Dolls and Cheetah
Chrome of the Dead Boys) and Mandy Lion. While his ongoing
session work is featured on the upcoming Batusi record produced by
Ken Cooma, of the band Wilco Fame, written and performed on
commercial ads, and the pivotal Sega Genesis game "Mortal
Combat" and has music on TNT’s show Franklin and Bash.
In his current home base of Las Vegas, Lez can frequently be found
performing and mentoring at the renown Rock N’ Roll Fantasy
Camp. Additionally, he works in various capacities for several Las
Vegas productions, from hand-picking the feature musicians for
"Erictica" at the REO Casino to single-handedly performing the live
and interactive musicscape to "V-The Ultimate Variety Show". In a
city studded with world class tributes, Lez doggedly performed for
three years drumming for the Jay White Show, a Las Vegas premier
Neil Diamond act at the Riviera. This renaissance man of rhythm will
step off the throne to play bass for a Las Vegas U2 Tribute band,
Arms of America and a great Tom Petty tribute, "You Got Lucky."
Lez’s experience (some honed percussion skills during his travels in
Africa), talent and passion for music will always drive him on to new
projects. He is currently the drummer for "BowWowWow" and will be
recording and touring throughout the year.
